As we best recognise this Malt was distilled at the Isles it’s fun to start nosing and spot if we can resolve the secret. After having nosed this for 1/2 an hour or so i will start through apart from Highland Park. Highland Park normally matures in Sherried wood and this Sherry-Matured Breath of the Isles does not ring any HP bells in my head. on the nose this Breath o/t Isles feels particularly younger and a bit skinny. it’s in particular candy but there are a few bitter and bitter notes as well. it is particularly pushed by means of (darkish) Dried Fruit, Sugar, Cocoa and Spices. The Peat & Smoke are there however in no way in a dominant manner. The Re-Fill Sherry-cask notes are pretty clean however they don’t dominate both. The Alcohol is substantive. The nose isn’t bad however it lacks a bit of power.Buy Adelphi’s Breath of the Isles 2007
